DCPC Training Courses

CPC courses for LGV and PCV drivers

Each day of the course counts as 7 hours DCPC and can be completed in daily chunks or as a complete 5 day, 35 hr block. 5 courses must be completed to count as your full 35 hours of DCPC.

The DCPC courses provided in Peterborough are as follows:
  • Course 1 - Delivering Outstanding Customer Service
  • Course 2 - Drivers Hours & Tachographs
  • Course 3 - Emergency First Aid at Work
  • Course 4 - Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving
  • Course 5 - Vulnerable Road Users
  • Course 6 - Safe Loading & Manual Handling

Once a driver has completed each course, the necessary details will be provided to the DVSA who will endorse your driving license. Once 35 hours have been completed, you will be sent your Drivers Qualification Card (DQC).

Periodic Driver CPC
Drivers who passed their Car licence prior to January 1997 and their Vocational Licence (Cat C, C+E, D etc) before September 2009, are required to complete 35 hours of Periodic CPC training every 5 years in order to drive for Hire or Reward.
