To train for an HGV Category C licence, you must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid car driving licence.
At Nuline Training our training courses are 5, 7 and 10 day courses, made up of 4hr sessions. Our courses are available for all the categories below. Please contact us for more information if you would like to go straight from car to artic.
Assessments are also available to help decide on how many sessions you would require.
We provide the following HGV and LGV Driver training courses in Warwickshire:
Medium size vehicles (Rigid and Rigid with trailer)
Category C1 - Enables you to drive vehicles between 3,500kg and 7,500kg.
(5, 7 and 10 day courses are available for this course.)
Category C1 + E - This enables you to drive C1 category vehicles with a trailer over 750kg. However, the combined MAM of both cannot exceed 12,000kg.
Warwickshire - Large Vehicles (HGV / LGV)
Category C - With a Category C qualification you can drive vehicles over 3,500kg with a trailer up to 750kg.
Category C + E - HGV Training - This enables you to drive Category C vehicles but now with a trailer over 750kg.

Become a Qualified Category HGL LGV Rigid Driver in Warwickshire

Our specialist driver courses will help boost your earning potential. We will train you to prepare for your final DVSA test and guide you every step of the way. The course details are as follows:
Theory Tests (These will be at your local DVSA theory test centre)
Module 1 - Theory and hazard perception.
Module 2 - Case studies.
Practical Tests
Module 3a - This is a reverse, couple and uncoupling test.
Module 3b - This will be a practical on road driving test.
Module 4 - The final part is a CPC demonstration.
IMPORTANT:
Before you can start any course, you must complete and pass an LGV medical and also gain your provisional entitlement. We can help with this - we can book your LGV medical for you and post a D2 and D4 form to you. Then once you have passed your medical, you will need to send both forms and your driving licence to the DVLA.

Medicals cost £70 and will need to be paid before we can book for you. Our medical branch is in Peterborough but if you need something closer to you then please can you let us know so we can arrange another location.
