CAT D Training in Bedfordshire
This Licence is known as the PSV Licence which allows a driver to drive a bus or coach with both single and double deckers, carrying more passengers than a minibus.
Bedfordshire CAT D1 Courses
A CAT D1 Licence allows a driver to drive vehicles with a maximum of 16 passengers. The vehicle can only be a maximum length of up to 8 metres long.

MiDAS - Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme for drivers in Bedfordshire
This is the main nationally recognised standard in the industry and is administered by the Community Transport Association. There are two elements, one being Practical and the other Theory, and is usually completed within one day course. Once you have gained the MiDAS Certificate, it is valid for 4 years. There is no grace period once it has expired unless you have attended a refresher course or applied for an extension. If you do not make an application prior to your certificate expiry date, then you will need to attend a full induction course in order to continue holding your MiDAS certifiate. What else do you need to know?
Firstly, if you are unemployed, you may be able to secure funding to pay for the cost of your training with us via the Development Fund (a government backed scheme) which includes a 4 week course that focuses on teaching you the skills required to become a PCV licence holder in Bedfordshire.
However, if you are employed, and simply looking for a change of pace, we can offer you the right training at the right cost.
